Sean Patrick Astin was born on the 25th of Ferbuary 1971. Both his parents are actors (Patty Duke and John Astin), and Sean's acting debut was alongside his mother in the after school special "Please don't hit me mum" (1981). His first role in a move was in the 1985 film "The Goonies".
Since then, Sean has been in a lot of moives. Courage under Fire, Bulworth, War of the Roses, Enchino Man (hysterically funny), Toy Soldiers, Boy meets girl, Icebreaker and many more. His most famous part (besides Sam) is Rudy in the movie with the same name. He has also had a go at directing with the short films Kangeroo Court and On my honour. Kangeroo Court even got him an Oscar-nomination.
Sean is married to Christine, and they have a daugther called Alexandra Louise.
